Sounds like somebody should invest in a support vehicle of the old transit bus type. We could keep spare fuel and parts inside as well as secure place for food and some bunks for the drivers who do not camp. I am sure there could be a heat source to keep us warm. Wonder where I could find a

been thinking of that. No permit is needed in Alaska AT ALL to carrry a concealed weapon. I think I would have my PPK/S and AR-15 carbine transferred to an FFL in some AK gun shop along the route and pick them up there and ship back the same way. Annoying but simple solution. Chris
