Hi Everyone,
My 1984 300D auto tranny feels like it is in gear when it is in park. When I
press the accelerator the car surges forward like it wants to take off. It is
in park of course and cannot take off. Is this normal or is something out of
adjustment. Is this hurting the transmission.
Don't know if it is normal but it happened on my 79 240D and happens to my
300D 2.5t. IIRC-it surged forward even without accelerator when first put
in park. I assumed it was excessive travel to get parking pawl set. My $0.02
