out the old guy put the thing in a vise, took a BFH, put a ball peen
hammer (round end) on the bottom of the bj, then whacked it hard a few
times with the BFH. Came out in about 4-5 whacks. Used the Benz tool

Which side? Ball joints You will need to determine if it is the upper or
lower. You may get a clue by looking for rust powder on or near the ball
joint boot.
You want to be sure the ball joint does not "brake" when you apply the "breaks"

valve body. (not that I know much about AT) I'd rather have a 5 spd.
