Well look at it this way, you just change the filter and add oil. Think of the time you will save if you never need to recycle the used oil. That reminds me, I just resealed my 117 motor in the 560SEL, but forgot to replace valve guide seals. I guess I will need to do that next year. The 117s nee

If its really got less than 100,000 miles I'd guess the thermostat is stuck open and its all carboned up. I'd offer him $800, haul it home, diesel purge and run a tank or two through it on the highway in 4th. Mine smoked some when I first got it. I did the above and now it hardly smokes at all.
