Gwagen flywheel. Same weight as the om617 w123 flywheel (pressure plate
and friction disc do weigh a bit more). Better clamping pressure, more
surface area, keeps turbo spooled during shift but I pay for that in
boost lag in 3rd and 4th if I am in a real low RPM. I am working on a

That would have been the detroit designed engine, which only has two things
in common with the duramax:
1. it is a diesel v8
2. it came in chevy trucks

They will argue as much as possible to get the price down. My rover was
recently totalled. Their first offer was $2200 with $545 salvage. By the time
it was over I got a check for $5000 after salvage. Insist on a fair and

I think the only possible advantage of the "flush" is a more complete change of
fluid. The new fluid won't be as
contaminated by the remaining old fluid. Probably cheaper and better to just
change the fluid more than once. Use
your oil sucker doodad to extract the fluid up the fill pipe 2 or 3 ad

Walnut sawdust is mildly poisonous to plants.

The amazing thing about these old Benzes is that most jobs (that don't
involve anything in or near the dash) are pretty straightforward and
not that difficult to do. Maybe a bit fiddly in some cases, but not
"hard." The engineers appear to have actually given some thought to
maintenance and r

Composting wood is not a good idea as it sucks up too much nitrogen (? I
think) from the rest of the stuff. Don't use sawdust for mulch around
your plants either, same deal. That from a master gardener in the
woodworking club, when people were talking about using all their sawdust
for mulch a
more difficult as well as time consuming? Anybody done both
these jobs on a DIY basis?

Don't know if it is normal but it happened on my 79 240D and happens
to my
300D 2.5t. IIRC-it surged forward even without accelerator when first
put
in park. I assumed it was excessive travel to get parking pawl set.
How does it behave in neutral? Should be the same as Park,
