That was correct in previous years, but in looking at a price guide by
'83 a stereo radio (with cassette & pwr ant) & manual A/C was standard
on the US market 240D.
The extra cost options (to specify when ordering, aside from standard or
auto trans) were:
Rear headrests
Metallic paint
Becke
At the time it was the cheapest option too ($20-$25 for each side)!
I checked the EPC for the W123 & a single W126 part number is now listed
(126 910 11 22). A reinforced pad base? (116 914 01 97), is available
for the W126 part though.

you take out the drivers side vent & duct hose once you've removed the

No, it looks like the E will be getting the 2.1 4cyl turbo diesel
instead (190 HP and 369 lb-ft of torque, badged E250), the same engine
the GLK will be available with shortly (ML to follow?) & rumored to be
going in the new C-class as well.

US market.

marketing change (all W140 model designations were rounded
