I did four of those outer joints with the Sir Tools junk tool, I think that
was about $100 or less. Be very careful if you get that tool, their steel
is soft and the slightest misalignment will destroy the tool (the brake

Yes, you can produce for your own consumption. The utilities just don't allow
or heavily restrict point-of-use. About the only way it's been gotten around is
on a scale of a complete housing development (and quite successfully at that.)

In the morning you can pull the release handle to disconnect the door from the
opener, and readjust the spring tension. Just make sure you're in a safe place
when/if a spring breaks.

OK, I checked the t here on cars. The newest one I got from Q is
crimped and has 4 screws on the front, the one on the heap is the
same. The one on the "new" 300D has no screws.
SO: ALL are crimped. The BAD ones are flat front. The GOOD ones
have screws on the front.
