Just a brief follow-up, over the weekend I got two different sizes of my application to work pretty well. I'll go for a third tomorrow/today (it's pretty late). A few things I noticed are: MetaCard ROCKS! This feature was fairly easy to implement, and had only a few gotcha's along the way.

Thanks to Kevin and Geof and Gary, and others who replied offlist for their helpful suggestions. Setting the backdrop to black and shooting for an average screen resolution of around 800 x 600 seems the best bet. I hadnt realized the backdrop feature was available. I found it in supercard
