Don't know about the US but importing a pet rat into Alberta Canada is
illegal. A family with a pet rat moved to Alberta from BC and they
were given a choice - whack the rat or send it back to BC. The rat
came back (to BC).

recently acquired a meteorite thin section mounted
slide, which is larger than any type of slide I've ever seen.
Maybe a cabinet maker could turn out a nice box.

) a tiny specimen of Whitecourt, which was found by
the finder in July of 2009. The finder indicated that the ground was dry
and the vegetation nice and very crispy dry. Hunting was easier then,
except for the insect life. Not to mention the odd pissed off bear.

closest landmark was the Pasamonte Ranch. hence the name Pasamonte
(b). N 36 degree 14. 562 by W 103 degree 45.515. this is w the stone
was found. Arizona State University got ~24 grams for the

court case which may have helped (or possibly didn't help her).

Revelstoke BC - Type: CI fell March 31, 1965.
Two small fragments about one gram total.
Vilna Alberta - L5. Fell Feb. 5, 1967.
Two small crusted fragments 48mg and 94mg.
Probably one of those is the smallest meteorite fall.

According to the RASC Handbook (2010)there are 4 craters out of 57 in
North America that have meteorites
associated with them.

I know of one meteor shower (November Andromedids) where an iron

For those with nothing to do tonight during the Perseid meteor shower.
I've plotted Comet 3D/Biela A using Kinoshita's orbit and found the
comet lies in Pisces not too far from Messier 74.
Clear skies and don't forget to wear your hardhats!
