I have received this e-mail 20 times thus far. Just the kind of error I would
have expected on an e-mail related to this Butterfield's auction!

isnt is interesting that there is no enthusiasm about bonhams' auction.
it was yesterday, incidentally.
i got burnt last time with them, although i ultimately received a full credit including postage both ways. they RE-listed the sameposter this time as "A-" condition. upon my protestion, here,
Hi Michael,I went to the Bonhams auction and while there were bargains to be had, there were some posters with sun damage. I believe that's what happened to the Strangers on a Train. It was announced as C- and fetched a small amount. The Lolita was impressive and the It Happened One Night. I guess
Damn
I missed that Bonhams auction yesterday. I heard they had a STRANGERS
ON THE TRAIN insert. I have been trying to find that baby in top
condition for quite some time, and I understand the one they had was
in A- condition (I have the catalog right here in front of me and
it says so).
Yes, as Bruce points out...and I was at the preview,
the IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT clearly says 1937 in the
margin! This is not one of those cases where the 1934
version has an obscured 4 in the date- this was a
very clear 1937 printed on a minty mint 1-sheet. The
fact that this poster was used in
Yes, it's a case where the reissue is a great reissue.
I could not remember the reissue as having 1937 printed on it.
Their bad! (NOT they're bad).

Before I go into detail I want to say that I hope
the following is taken as constructive criticism. These are simply my thoughts
as a potential bidder.
I have just had a look through the Bonhams
catalogue and one of the strange things that strikes me is that many of the
photos appear to
very good post by john reid.
i recall that BONHAM's admitted last time that most of the pictures were
taken in their frames (through the glass). how stupid is that?
BONHAM'S DOES NOT have an unconditional return policy When
i received the grossly defective A- poster(that I described 3
I have not been collecting posters that long just a couple years and am not
realy able to spot reprints or what to look for. I have noticed quite a few
posts the last couple days about posters on the Bonhams auction being labled
wrong. I was hoping some one could advise me if lot 2510 pulp
I am planning on bidding on a number of pieces in
this sale, but you should all take note of two things:---About 80% of the
posters are framed. You will have to factor in the costs of shipping
framed posters, if you are not from southern California.
---A good many of the posters have
have someone you know check out the posters condition in advance.
