Ron,I have three posters that are in the March Heritage Signature auction. This is the first time I have consigned posters to them. When I called them months ago to ask what type of movie items they are looking for this auction, I was told about the $300 estimate. That doesn't mean they

Hi Roland- Okay, fair enough. Sorry for getting myself worked up but I've been feeling a bit combative lately. As for Heritage and their wanting the items in their Signature sale to be valued at least $300, I haven't ever heard that before but it's probably true- even though they do take items

JR, Your math is a little fuzzy, 15% of $200 is of course $30, so the total price would be $230 not $240 if you make a $200 bid. Heritage also makes you well aware of the total price you will be paying, by not only showing the bid/next bid with buyer's premium, but when you enter a bid amount

The quick and easy way for slow people to figure out the 15% premium. When you are thinking/making your bid, move the decimal point over one place to the left of your bid price. Then take half of that resulting number and add it together to the first one. We'll use the $200 bid for our example.
