Ron,I have three posters that are in the March Heritage Signature auction. This is the first time I have consigned posters to them. When I called them months ago to ask what type of movie items they are looking for this auction, I was told about the $300 estimate. That doesn't mean they
Hi Roland-
Okay, fair enough. Sorry for getting myself worked up but I've been feeling a
bit combative lately. As for Heritage and their wanting the items in their
Signature sale to be valued at least $300, I haven't ever heard that before but
it's probably true- even though they do take items
Hello All!
I was speaking with a fellow member of MoPo the other day and although he
was aware of the upcoming auction at Heritage, he was not aware of the process
he needed to go through to bid with them. He thought it might be a lot of
trouble, but I assured him that it was actually

JR,
Your math is a little fuzzy, 15% of $200 is of course $30, so the total
price would be $230 not $240 if you make a $200 bid.
Heritage also makes you well aware of the total price you will be paying, by
not only showing the bid/next bid with buyer's premium, but when you enter a
bid amount
all of this to them, it would clear up any !
confusion
they might have. -- JR - Original Message - From: "Ron Moore" To: Sent: Saturday, March 11, 2006 12:35 Subject: [MOPO] Heritage tutorial for Auction Hello All!I was speaking with a fellow member of MoPo t

I totally agree with Sean. I bought some very expensive posters at
the last auction and I bid on bothvia telephoneto avoid being beaten
as stated. In addition the shipping charges were very fair and I have no
complaints whatsoever.

Hey Roland-
Hey Rich-
That's a lot of disinformation. You guys need to back those kind of statements
up with some actual facts for a change. Present your evidence, not your opinion.
I know (For a Fact) that Heritage does take items that are expected to sell for
less than $300 - because I've
Agreed that Heritage shipping charges are pretty much in line with shipping costs in general, and Grey does a pretty fair job of 'making good' if the auctioneer doesn't 'see' the Internet bid and a floor bid of equal value trumps it -- that's happened to me.
But following and bidding live on Ebay
My guess is this piece if anti-Heritage propaganda has some basis in truth,
like lots of effective propaganda does--it's just been stripped of facts and
details that would expose it for what it is.
Here's my hypothesis: the $400+ figure comes from an ebay invoice for
multiple items that included

he bought a certain number of them - about 15 items.. that totalled $85

offer this? I have no idea.

Um, Gee... JR... since MoPo
I completely agree. Shipping charges are very reasonable. Grey and his team
are typically excellent with every single process from any possible situation a
bidder can every imagine. Unfortunately, I am not able to be there life this
time around because of some unforseen event but maybe still
The quick and easy way for slow people to figure out the 15% premium.
When you are thinking/making your bid, move the decimal point over one place
to the left of your bid price.
Then take half of that resulting number and add it together to the first
one.
We'll use the $200 bid for our example.
