didn't hurt the my hometown fav James Garner played a key role in the film.

There are so many that it is hard to choose. I made a choice with Chain

I appreciated the tribute to the people we lost in 2009.
The simple, live performance of a song played over names and faces was a
tasteful change for me...simple and touching.
The hosting team was a disappointment for me. Not that they were bad, but
that they just weren't as good as I was
Best part about James Taylor doing the obits was that he sang a Beatles song.

I took my 7 year old daughter last Sunday.
She loved it. I thought it was better than the reviews (which seem to
average 5-6/10), but below an 8.
I did love the look of the film, though. The 3D I could take or leave, but
the pure imagery was just gorgeous, IMHO.

I think you are an example of exactly what the Academy was hoping to
accomplish...increase interest and revenue for the industry (because, in the
end, the Academy is just a trade organization), and increase ratings for the
show (by including more films that keep the mainstream audiences
