A WESTERN KINGBIRD
This afternoon I saw two Buff-breasted Sandpipers with a large flock
of Killdeer along Aitkin County Road 1, 0.9 mile north of CR 55.
There was also a Western Kingbird at the dead end of CR 55, 0.7 mile
northeast of CR 1. This area is about 4 miles north of the town of
Aitkin.

Svingen found 7 Red-throated Loons, 4 Surf Scoters, 2 White-winged
Scoters, and 10 Whimbrels at Park Point and Hearding Island on
Sunday.
A Northern Mockingbird was seen on the 17th along MN Highway 61 in
Lake County, 0.4 mile west of the Iona's Beach SNA.

This is the Duluth
This morning I saw a Loggerhead Shrike in Two Harbors at the ball
field along CR 2, two blocks north of Highway 61. I watched it hunt
the fence line for about 10 minutes before it flew up high to the
west and out of sight.
