Susan Elliott found a male Mountain Bluebird at the Les Bolstad Golf Course
this morning north of Larpenteur and west of Cleveland (north of the Bell

A Rock Wren was photographed by Ed McFadden this morning behind the visitor
center at the Minnesota Valley NWR refuge headquarters in Bloomington. That

County Road C about a quarter mile east of Snelling. Perhaps it came up

Several of us have been diligently examining the hoard of shorebirds at
Lone Tree Lake in Lyon County this morning. Despite a good diversity of
shorebird species present, the Curlew Sandpiper does not appear to be among
them.

I searched for the Dakota Cattle Egret between 6:25 and 7:25 this evening
without success. It appears to have run before the brief storm which hit
just as I arrived. A single Willet was present at the south end of the
marsh (where the egret was last seen about an hour earlier).

Also note that this afternoon the bird was associating with one male and
two female Lesser Scaup among many Common Goldeneyes and Common Mergansers;
this morning the bird was seen in association with a Redhead and a
Canvasback (neither of which was seen this afternoon).

Bird has been refound by John and Chris Hockema at 2:45 PM at the east end
of Wacouta Rd. This is private property but permission was granted to view
from the shore. This is about five miles down shore of Colvill Park.

Scoters he found yesterday best seen from 285th St. on the east side of
Chisago Lake.

a group of four flyovers calling over my yard northeast of Como Lake in St.
