FYI, I believe the Twin Cities Pride Parade IS the largest of parades.
It is larger than the Aquatennial. (Not that you'd ever know that from the
Strib coverage.)

Second, and so last, post of the day to reply to Dyna.
I'm not sure what she's referring to here:
I also saw your tasteless attempt to sneak up front
with the Wellstone Green Bus and successfully set a
pick on you.
I'll just say that all the DFLers were together in a
group with the Wellstone bus
I think it is great that participation in this fun and important event is
part of a list discussion. I think it is great that we get to fight over who
is more politically correct by being there
Re: The Republican press release from about the event.
It's a pretty creative press release that
Green Party candidates kept busy throughout Pride
Weekend beginning Friday evening at the annual Dyke

Art Center and proceeded down Lyndale to Lyn-Lake.

I attended the Pride parade this weekend and was
thrilled by the good time had by all. I'm proud to
live in a city with such diversity and acceptance,
and was happy to see the community come together to
celebrate Is that parade always that big, or did
good weather help??
It was
the gay pride parade and festival was joyous and flamboyant, as always. you
gotta appreciate the sense of community, diversity, acceptance, and
theatrics. and speaking of theatrics, ssb showed spirit, looking pretty in
pink ballgown, parasol and boa. ...now for that magic wand and lisa,

Robert Lilligren's contingent and Lisa McDonald's contingent got lots of
cheers. We were right behind the Red Door Clinic -- which was bowling over
STDs rather literally.
We got lots of folks signed up at the table. When I was visiting the
various booths, with my Robert Lilligren teeshirt,
Beth Complained about the strib coverage:
and thanks to the strib, who in today's edition, allowed four sentences of
coverage on an event which they estimate drew over 200,000 people.
The PiPress did much better, with a front page article by Ben Chanco, and a picture.
