I was reading an article and it suggested adding /etc/init.d/mythbackend into rc.local I have done that and I stilll can not change channels, but when I stop and start mythbackend manually from su it works. can someone help me with a script that will log on as su and stop and start mythbackend

Set your DisplaySize attribute in your X config, as discussed frequently on this list. That's an interesting question I just had... do most X apps assume square pixels? In the analog video world, since each horizontal line is determined by analog bandwidth, the aspect ratio isn't determined.
