That's an interesting question I just had... do most X apps assume

Wow, is everyone ready for the big time? Too bad the article is so
focused on the stealing of content, and the media corps defending
their industry from piracy. It also stinks that MythTV is being
lumped in with all the software that people use for copyright
infringement. Last I checked it
Will this ALL method be in the MythTV 0.17 due out next week? If so,
should I wait for it or do the CVS thing now?

Have played a whole DVD using Xine on my Debian (unstable) MythTV box,
with an EPIA Mini-ITX MII 12000 motherboard, outputting via the onboard

What amazes me is how the NYT, a newspaper that was part of one of the
most famous free speech cases in US history (NTY v. Sullivan), seems
to paint something like MythTV in a bad light. Isn't our

I bought a stereo RCA to 1/8 mic
jack plug adapter and pipe my output of the 350 into the line in of my sound
card (actually motherboard) and everything works as expected for me. The

Has any thought been given to extending the DVD rip feature to include
preservation of all the menus and special features? I think this could be done
using vobcopy to do the ripping and xine to handle the playback. The main
issue I see is that Myth would have to deal with the plurality of
There has been some discussion of this exact thing on the forums and after
some good hints and a lot of research, I finally got it working.
Unfortunately, it doesn't have the kewl progress display the current Myth
Rip does, but at least it gets the job done.
I built a shell script to do it all
