I don't know of any automatic solution to this problem (except _perhaps_
columnsets could help) but the simplest way to split a paragraph into
two paragraphs while still looking like one is by inserting a macro
like this at an existing break point:

\def\splitpar
 {\bgroup
  \parfillskip\zeropoint
  \par
  \aftergroup \parskip
  \aftergroup \zeropoint
  \aftergroup \noindentation
  \egroup }

\splitpar will work anywhere in a paragraph, but you only get a
visually pleasing result when it is applied at, or close to, a break
that would have been chosen anyway.

there that would switch to math mode.)

indeed. of course one could use the math font as base font as well, but
that would complicate matters a bit as we use a virtual font (so instead

actually is supported)

another solution is do define fallbacks but I have no time right now to
do that (it would slow down loading a bit); some time in the future we
will have the option in luatex to add missing glyphs to a font using a
'missign glyph' callback but this is quite tricky as there is state to
be kept)

making all math characters active and resolve to math could be a
solution too but this is not always wanted either (so we should need
exceptions etc etc then)

AFAICT, both XITS and Cambria integrals should look OK with no italic

negative italic correction is needed.

I'll open a tracker issue with a test file.

 Neo Euler does not have all math arrows at the moment, if some one can

Thank you Wolfgang and all,

this was exactly what I needed. One more thing. I would like to add a
date to every chapter in TOC. I do it this way:

\define[1]\ChapterListTextCommand{%
#1\hskip 1.5em
\hbox{
\doiftextelse{\structurelistuservariable{date}{(\structurelistuservariable{datum})}{}
}
}

But actually I would like to align the date to some fixed horizontal
position. Something like this:

1. Title of chapter 1 (9.2.2010)  5
2. Title of another chapter   (10.3.2010) .. 10
3. A very long title of a chapter
  (10.5.2010) .. 34
4. Title of fourth chap.  (8.4.2010) ... 25

Another complication is that I would like the line to snap to a grid.
I tried it with framed, but I'm not good enough in ConTeXt.

Please, any idea?

Thank you, best regards,
Tomas

[NTG-context] Tagged register

2010-09-26 Thread Steffen Wolfrum
Hi,

up to now one can use either collapsed registeres ...
\placeregister[index][compress=yes]

or tagged PDF ...
\setupstructure[state=start]

Otherwise there is an error (see below).

Couldn't we also have both, or is this impossible by the logic of structure?

(I have to admit, I never saw the combination of a tagged pdf with collapsed
register ...)

[NTG-context] HowUgly setupregister

2010-09-26 Thread Steffen Wolfrum
Hi,

in MkII I used for formatting the index-register a command=\HowUgly

\def\HowUgly#1{\doHowUgly#1\relax}
\def\doHowUgly#1#2\relax{\iffirstregisterentry{\crlf \crlf
$\backslash$blank[biggerblank]$\backslash$hangIndex$\{\backslash$bf
#1$\}$}#2\else#1#2\fi}

In MkIV there is no \iffirstregisterentry any more. What is the corresponding
command today?

Thanks,
Steffen

[NTG-context] urgent help needed (registers)

2010-09-26 Thread Steffen Wolfrum
Hi,

I need to shape a index register as shown in this sample page:
http://werksatz.com/attachments/index_sample.pdf

- the entries should be like \hangafter=1\hangindent=10pt\parindent0pt
- also the subentries (like in itemize: the - stands out)
- and the indicator should be the first character bold of the first entry with
that letter

(better see the example, it's hard to describe :-)

How can this be done in MkIV??

Thank you very much,
Steffen

Re: [NTG-context] scancsv.lua

2010-09-26 Thread Jaroslav Hajtmar

Hello Daniel.

Malfunction your code was caused by two things:

1. CSV file contains TeX problematic characters (eg underscore_ which is
used only in math mode) - should therefore be set catcodes.

Correction is for example here:

\def\lineaction{
\catcode`\_=12
\catcode`\%=12
\catcode`\=12
\catcod...@=12
% etc...
\expanded{
\bTD\ssxx\Name, \Vorname, \Titel, \Bezeichnung \eTD
\bTD\ssxx\Mail \eTD
\bTD\ssxx\Raum \eTD
\bTD\ssxx\Telefon \eTD}
}

2. A simple parser that I wrote not process general CSV files (it not
allow some items were in quotation marks and not others. That is, if you
use within the field delimiter, must be ALL ITEMS quoted!) I modified
the lines 16 and 198 your CSV table, which contained a single delimiter
in quotes (instead of a semicolon delimiter, I used a comma)

I change 16. line from:

Bialluch;Kathrin;;Lehrbeauftragte;kathrinbiall...@web.de;
kathrin.biall...@stimme-dortmund.de;;

to line:

Bialluch;Kathrin;;Lehrbeauftragte;kathrinbiall...@web.de,
kathrin.biall...@stimme-dortmund.de;;

and on 198 line I made the same correction ... (library interpreting
more columns ...)

3. I modified the code so that the tables, the tables are split at page
breaks.

eg:
\def\bfilehook{\setupTABLE[split=yes]\bTABLE}

Will now compile properly. I hope that everything will be OK ...
To Your address I am sending corrected files (as attachment) ..., to
conference I am sending only plain text...

Rejoice in my library, I hope they will serve well ...

Jarda Hajtmar
