install a new AAD Connect server in Staging Mode, import any custom rules you
have (you can export those to PowerShell in the Rules Editor), run it, and get
it so you have zero unexpected deltas in the Sync Manager. At

see Adobe's Flash test page fine.
I'm not aware of any Flash update options relating to current versions of
Chrome.

Does anyone know what is really going on with Flash and Chrome 54? It
doesn't appear to be bundled with Chrome anymore. I use Ninite to update
Chrome at $work, but now that doesn't work. (Chrome updates, but Flash
does not.) We restrict downloads of .exes and .dlls, so if Chrome is

Are you having any issue with DNS?
Are you trying to resolve local or remote hosts?
What does your DNS suffix configuration look like?

I can only imagine that this is a firewall/filtering related issue for
you. As Don pointed out, this functionality works across all versions of
Windows.

I'm afraid not.
We use the 2012R2 DirectAccess, and it's a champ (with one caveat -

My apologies if I stepped too closely to those extremities. :)
I'd really love to get this in place as it would solve more than one nagging
problem. Any words of wisdom to ease that journey?

This is pretty unusual. I’ve used NetApps totaling over 10 years and never saw

Ah. I first configured DirectAccess with 2008R2 and UAG 2010, and have

Thanks for that. Interesting. It’s a different group here that manages

Used NetApp for over 7 years across two jobs. Never seen this behavior. I
do know for sure that snapshots are read only. They can't be

Just a suggestion, retain snapshots longer if you have the space. We keep

I have two different questions revolving around this.
- Is anyone using NetApp CIFS and seeing entire folders worth of
data disappear mysteriously, including all snapshots?
- Whether using NetApp or not, has anyone seen users’ home folders
