What's the best way to keep nuke installs consistent between workstations?
We're a small shop and we've always done it seat of the pants (which is
manageable given our size) but I have a feeling there is A Better Way.

1. track something in the "master" shot
2. analyze the speed of that track
3. track the same object in another shot
4. somehow use the speed of the master track to adjust the speed of subsequent
shots so they all match

This is driving me nuts but I can't see where to turn it off. Whenever I grab
curves or verts in the graph editor the GE view snaps to frame those curves
and/or points. it's as if it's an "auto frame selected" or some such. where do

One thing I just started trying to get working was a facility-wide presets
file. Is there a variable that I need to set for that? Anybody know? simply
adding a "user_presets.py" in my nuke path doesn't seem to do it.

and warping it to match. Then in maya I used that to generate a UV map that I

It "works" in the sense that the imagery spins, but the imagery gets all split
up. It feels like maybe a rotation order thing, or we just doing something

Can the label of a backdrop node be expression linked to a text node? so the
text node (or some of it) gets filled with whatever is written in the

(in my case there are 8 folders for each "shot". Client makes a last SECOND
request to have EVERYTHING in jpg
Is there some clever way to tell imagemagick to produce jpeg sequences in that
case?
