An old friend from Wading River passed away, and as a former W.R. Volunteer
Fireman and Fire Commissioner, his wake was held at the Firehouse. Taking
Sound Ave. from Riverhead, we encountered the first T.V. heading west over
the Lewin Farm. On the way home, we found the remaining 4 working on a

(?) were not on the chimney of St. Isador's School, but on the smaller
chimney of the Convent, which is on the same property.
After a hearing test at the VA Hospital in Northport, I visited S.M.S.P.,

At 8:40 this morning, there were 2 Turkey Vultures at the Newton Ave,
Riverhead roost.
At ~ 6:15 this evening there were 11 T.V's. circling in the same
general area.
At ~ 6:40 this evening there were 12 Wild Turkeys (all Toms) foraging in
the woods on the e/s of Old Stump Rd,, in the Hamlet of
Yesterday, after dropping my wife off at a relative's home in Bellport (for
the 2nd leg of her trip into the city) I headed for Jones Beach, and the N.
Shrike, which has eluded me on at least 5 earlier attempts.

Today, like yesterday, I freed up in the afternoon and got some birding
