First of all - yes - CSIT needs to be added for the hitless resync.
Secondly hitless resync is different from bundles. Hitless resync is a

Corrected the release list email. We had a few issues regarding CSIT
failures which have prevented the new feature (hitless resync based on
bundles) to be merged even though they were available from our M5 onwards.
