Here is a work around: Delete ~/.config/OpenLP/OpenLP.conf Then when
the first run wizard runs again disable Presentations. OpenLP then
works. I know that loses all of the users config settings but at least
it works. I am sure there is a way to edit the config file to not fire
up the presentation
For anyone that stumbles upon this, I found this to work, and much
cleaner than deleting your config file. Open
~/.config/OpenLP/OpenLP.conf and you will have this:
[Presentation]
status=1
change it to
status=0
This will disable the plugin without having to delete your config.

and promote it to preferred in the media settings. I however am missing

I had stumbled on something I thought could have been the culprit,
having the desktop set up to handle files, that had no change. I am
attempting to test on Fedora as it has Gnome 3.0 in F15 but for some
reason it decided it didn't want to boot anymore. I will eventually get

Further checking confirms my suspicion this only seems to happen in
GNOME 3.2. I tried Ubuntu 11.10 with Unity without issue, when I went to
Gnome 3.2 same as in Arch. I am not a programmer but I would guess it is
something to do with clutter and compositing, no issues with unity's
compiz.

the monitors so that display if a single screen is unchecked, and also
have the display position over ride checked a screen is displayed the
size of the over ridden display settings on top of everything

A screen is
Maikel, I am running Unity, how did you install OpenLP? I have the logo,
I have however noticed that other applications not just OpenLP fail to
auto hide. I think that is (I know its the blame game) more a Unity
thing than an OpenLP thing.
I am currently using the Classic Desktop to run OpenLP in
