I think what he's looking for is a walkthrough of what the roles are in the
change process, and what the steps are to walk through a change (who does what

I won’t take you through the ITIL theory part, but it boils down to
understanding the relationship of three things:
1) Roles
2) Changes
3) Work Orders
Roles apply to people: eg, who initiates a change, who

Hi All,
I created a test change and added work orders to it ...from the Document
http://doc.otrs.org/itsm/2.0/en/html/x1213.html I see they are colors for
the work order depending on the state's.
But I'm unable to see any colors in the work order I create is there any
thing I need to change?
Hi All,
Can anyone please let me know How can I create new Change and approve it.
I created work orders of type approval but I'm unable to approve the ticket.

Hi,
the beta should be released on february the 1st, 2010 according to
http://www.otrs.com/fileadmin/mediafiles/READY-FOR-TAKE-OFF/READY_FOR_TAKE-OFF_-_Change_Management_EN.pdf
.
Friends,
Since change management is not available in OTRS (Please
correct me, If I am wrong in saying this), what will be best tool to
look for integration time being (till change management becomes
available in OTRS, which is planned for Q3-2009).
Hi,
I you have ITSM installed then you can create a ticket type Change
Request and you can have Decision made to it.
http://doc.otrs.org/itsm/1.2/en/html/x603.html
I belive that future version will have better support for it so for now
I am using what it offers.

I use it as a project tracking tool, so customers can log into OTRS and
see their projects in progress, and contractors can update the project
with status. Used a few very minor tweaks like renaming ticket to
job or project in most instances.
