happy with paludis and don't want to move back to portage.
Someone who cares needs to get a decent standard for sets worked out
and agreed upon by Gentoo. Hint: Paludis already has a decent standard
for sets.

appareo does not use your /etc/paludis configuration. It's like adjutrix
and friends -- you configure it entirely upon the commandline.
