I think #2 in the series has the most visible hint of the cause of

For the longest time, I've been unable to shoot high-ISO or
long-exposure photos with my K10D. The reason was noise banding. It was
so prevalent in early K10Ds that Pentax

Try to remove the grip and check if the situation prevails.
Sometimes, if one of the Tv control wheels end up positioned slightly
between clicks, the other Tv wheel can act up. Same goes for Av
wheels of course, but under my fingertips it seems to happen more
often with the Tv wheel.

To those who insist on doing direct file uploads (there are situations
where that is still preferable), I would recommend a client that uses
SCP or SFTP, to amend the problems Mark mentions. WinSCP is one

Darren, I think the best way would be to try some different stitching
software. My personal favourite is AutoPano.
If the Microsoft tool allows you to align the shots in layers without
actually stiching it, you could use the rubber in photoshop to create
seams that are less conspicuous.
