Were you shooting in auto exposure or manual exposure mode? The exposure appearing the same would seem to mean that the either the shutter speed or ISO changed for the second exposure. As for DOF, were you shooting something near, or far away? Bill - Original Message - From: [EMAIL

Speaking of tea

2003-10-03 Thread Bill Owens
The one nice thing is the RAF are always very accommodating, unlike the Army who are a major PITA, and give us tea and biscuits. That's what I call civilised. If you want tea on GFM, bring your own. Coffee for us in the morning, and sweet iced tea (usually from Lipton or Luzianne tea bags)

The radio call speed bird would signify it was a British Airways Concorde. Whereas most airlines use the company name and flight number, for example United 1234, British Airways uses speedbird, as in Speedbird 1234. Just a bit of useless information. Bill - Original Message - From: Jim

I like that story, and it's probably true. BTW, the term flight level begins at 18,000 feet. Up until that altitude, altimeters are set to closest local setting, but above 18,000 altimeters are set to standard pressure of 29.92. Bill - Original Message - From: Cotty [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I haven't even received my *ist D yet, but I've pretty much decided against the battery grip. It makes sense on the MZ-S where it will pay for itself fairly quick due to the ability to use AA batteries. However, if the *ist D comes anywhere near its specification of ~450 exposures per set of

Cant you just use manual settings with M lenses or does the camera have no lever to stop down the lens during exposure? When our local Pentax rep was in town a couple of weeks ago, I tried this with the M100 Macro. I set the aperture ring to f8.0, looked into the front of the lens and tripped

Re: normal focal length of *ist-D?

Another way of saying the same thing. If a portion of your image takes up 16mm from top to bottom on an APS size sensor, it will fill the frame. On a 24.mm sensor, that same portion of your image will still take up 16mm in height, but there will be 8mm of space above or below that same portion
