Up until I bought an Epson 925 printer this week I would have agreed. Now
I've got mixed feelings on this. This particular printer supports PRINT
image matching, and with jpg and tif images will use camera settings written
into the original image files by the camera at the time of exposure.
I would think that there would be no quality loss in this situation. You
are not opening and resaving the file, simply transferring from one place to
another. My understanding is that you only start losing quality when you
open, edit, then resave the file.

16mm from top to bottom on an APS size sensor, it will fill the frame. On a
24.mm sensor, that same portion of your image will still take up 16mm in
height, but there will be 8mm of space above or below that same portion
Change the 350 to 300 and you'll be there.
