digitally optimized lenses available. I can't tell you how happy I am
with the K-5ii. You don't have to give up the wide end (as much as you
do with 4/3). Lots

Thanks to all for the encouraging words.
Regarding aiming, I did see one guy say that shining a laser pointer
into the viewfinder (and therefore bouncing off the prism, mirror and
out the lens) makes a nice aiming device. I have one ordered, but it
hasn't shown up yet. If that works it would make

I would expect this to be the same sensor to be used in the Pentax FF.

Actually, I think a lot of people are going to find the lack of AA
filter to be a problem, just not in the way you might expect. This
guy, for example, says that no AA filter doesn't lead to a lot of
moire issues, but DOES lead to a lot more pixel-level flaws like CA.

Actually the camera is very optimistic with long focals, but more realistic
with shorters ones. 3 minutes exposures time is possible with a 50mm lens, I
tested it.
And about your night sky, how is it ?

Just wanted to share this lovely image (that I did not take) of the

Very nice. I love street shots where everyone is oblivious to the
presence of a camera. (And that hot dog is making me seriously hungry
again).

pre-production cameras). I tend to

Whatever is widely adopted is eventually viewed as merely pedestrian
and the uncommon is prized as being special. This is what has driven
