Been there, done that.
The cheapest one I've done was a straight from my camera to the printer file
of a historic building in Moose Jaw.
No computers, no external software, just well composed and properly exposed
jpeg. The picture is hanging on the wall of the business that owns the
property
for the odd quick dirty.

little or no manipulation, mostly because I didn't know what the heck I was
doing.
This was shot on Kodachome film, scanned with an HP Photosmart S10 scanner,
