You can ask whatever you like for something. You may even find someone who wants it right now that will pay that price. Supply and demand do govern prices in the final analysis. However, I do find it strange when people bid things up on ebay when there is another just like it a few items down

Two to three years ago this would have been a little high, now with the new popularity of Pentax Digital, demand for better Pentax lenses has increased and this seems more or less in line. KEH by the way has no FA, or F and almost no A series prime lenses in stock and when they do their prices
