Sure enough. I tried to repeat my free Silver Efex Pro 2 magic that I
got yesterday with three other email accounts. No joy.
Log into each of them today, and there they are.

off-putting when I first installed it and it tried to catalog *EVERY* image
file on my laptop.

NikSoftware's CMS is a little bizarre (or maybe they all are).

Same with me, using Safari. I kept trying, though, and eventually it came up.
Perhaps too many PDMLers all trying at once..?

Brian,
Thanks for the link. They seem to have a download for Color Efex Pro
3.0 as well.
Yeah - I got Color Efex 3 some time ago but I think it's the stand

don't think it's as useful as Silver
It's worth the odd extraneous email from Nik to get a legitimate free
copy of their plugins.
And they are a little bit odd. I used the same email address to register
my paid for copy of the Complete Nik filters, but I still get a separate
set of emails from Nik for the free copy of Color Efex
Unless something has changed, a lot of people were upset that they did
not offer backwards compatability between Silver Efex 2 and 1.
So I wouldn't spend a lot of time creating custom presets in V1 if you

Silver Exfex Pro is a well-regarded Photoshop filter to help with
black and white conversions. This is a legal download that might be
useful to some, but there are a couple of gotchas:
1. It's Version 1
2. You have to register with Nik software, so you can expect to
