In Sci-Fi B movie Reptilian on the Sci-Fi channel tonight, photojournalist
uses Pentax 35mm (clearly marked on pentaprism). It appears to be a
Super-A..

Do not suppose that abuses are eliminated by destroying
the object which is abused.
I wasn't paying attention to which episodes, but it finally sank in that
their props department is using Pentax UCF binoculars with a squareish
housing built on top of them to suggest some other function. There was
one scene where the pop out diopter adjustment was extended and clearly
visible.
I don't know how many of you can see Stargate SG1, but next time you watch
take a good look at the binoculars that the SG teams use.
