What is meant when a lens is described as 2 touch, e.g., 35-70 F4 SMC A (58) 2 TOUCH ZOOM. it means the zoom ring and the focus ring are separate. Some lenses, such as the 70-210/4, use the same ring for both - to zoom you push/pull like a trombone, to focus you twist -- PDML
