The leaked specs at pentaxrumors.com look somewhat genuine to me.
And if true it is not a major upgrade:
- 2 stops higher ISO up to 819200 (same as KP I guess)
- improved high-ISO noise handling
- Improved pixel-shift
No reason to upgrade my 3 months old K1 :)

I see that that lens gets rave reviews. Certainly you got good results with it.

Larry, I know that you want it!
And let me tell you, you need it. ;-)
As a favor to you, I can send you a postage-paid label so that you can
carefully pack your existing K-1 into a box and get rid of it easily and
painlessly. ;-)
Cheers,

Yep. I don’t do the incremental upgrades. I’ll wait for the K2.

Very nice!
At first I didn't even noticed the butterfly not having the sharpest
focus.
But given the focus being on the daisies, you can call it
"Daisies' Monarchy".

I like the composition of the first one much more than that of the 2nd

Following the naming trend, the next one should be
K 0.1
... or, maybe K (-1).
Ooh, wait... the formal name is already "K-1".
So, it will be K-0.1.

The white flowers were a little blown out in the second image, so I used
a bit of trickery as well as a bit of negative exposure compensation to
give them some texture. Boosting the shadows ruined the effect of my
other corrections so I decided to post as is.

Aha!
For the last few years, I've been thinking that something was really odd
with the Pentax top-lines' model numbers.
(While the lower model lines' numbers were missing sharpness.)

It’s the typical minor upgrade we get between model launches. Not surprising.

Fortunately, and somewhat unusually for me, I will not find it hard to resist

With respect to low-light performance, I am already blown away.
When we get back from a trip I typically do a quick pass through the downloaded
images, everything that looks interesting and salvageable ge

We have just come back from 11 days in Tassie, nice spot, a bit like a
smaller version of NZ with less snow LOL
I'm still editing from December, at one point I shot 10 shows in as
many days, about 20k images all up.
