Try without the -bandwidth 100 option. Without this option the

That works. Thanks for that. Although an odd side effect is that the VU
meter on the player looks like its only working intermittently. The

Hi all,
Just wondering if someone has the answer for this ? Is there an 24/96
upsampling plugin for SB3 ?
Many thanks in advance..
That would be a great plugin - I too would like to know the answer to
this question...

It looks like the AlienBBC code is not initialising properly for some
reason. To find out what is happening at startup , you need to start
slimserver from a command prompt with a debug option.
1. Open a Command prompt box.
2. cd to slimserver server directory - if it is the default location

Now -how about an alarm clock function, that deducts a user-specified

Time went by and I upgraded to Ubuntu 7.04 and SoftSqueeze 3.4. I hoped
the problem would go away, but it persists. The bug report seems to go

of SoftSqueeze.
Any updates on this issue?

I'm transferring here with this issue from the Linux forum, where I've
been discussing it without realising till now that others were
experiencing similar problems with SoftSqueeze itself.
My experience is that pressing and holding 'Pause' on the SQ 'remote'
causes SQ to freeze. Also, the
Regarding Florca's option 2), using DVB-S as a source, I'm currently
using a Windows solution using ProgDVB. This has a service called Prog

Slimserver.
It seems limited to six programmes on the same transponder, but calling

I'm new to ss and sb3, and have the same 'problem'. The instructions
said to just open slimserver and choose the font, but it isn't there.
So I wondered if the actual .ttf also has to be in the graphics
directory, not just the .bmp? (In my case I created a bmp from Verdana)
I may try that
I think you need to restart SlimServer to see the new fonts.
There was a change some time ago that cached all of the fonts on
startup, so new ones may not be seen.
The .ttf file is not required, the ones that are there are for Unicode
text support

Just got an ECM8000 and a Tascam US-122L to do measurements.
So the ECM8000 plugs into the Tascam's MIC IN L port with the phantom
power turned on.
When connecting the right side channel should I use a balanced cable to
connect my preamp's balanced out port to the Tascam's MIC IN R port, or

Hi Claus
First you need to find out if the remote you want to use is recognized
by the player at all. You can check that with the IR Learning Wizard.
Second you need to get the correct ir commands for your DVD player.
Hopefully you can find it on www.lirc.org.

You can see it took until 09:25:11 for it to register.
I hope this helps...
