In LMS possibly, I don't think this is a problem to Muso.

Thanks for your attention on this. MUSO and LMS are on the same

Squeezeslave is still limited to 16bits and 44.1k sample rate and won't
do direct

Hmm ok, please start muso in debug mode (which is an option on the start
menu), clear the artwork on one of your albums which should have hi-res
embedded art (option on right click), then click on the

Well, I have several albums organized that way; i.e. some popular DJ
releases an album with his (or her) favorites as a compilation. Then
ALBUMARTIST is set to the name of the DJ while each track ARTIST is

I'm not going to drop Titled Artist as a concept though, that's

Excellent :-)

This was recently changed to allow operation to 192k if I'm not
mistaken, as that was a fairly important limitation of Squeezelave for
many. Squeezelite seems like a true superset though; great work!

Indeed, it reports itself as Squeezeplay in iPeng (not Squeezelite).

Squeezeplay was - not sure that squeezeslave as been as there's more
code to change. If you want a headless solution, squeezelite may be
right for you...

Local Player now updated to version 0.7 which uses the latest version of
squeezelite which fixes a few bugs.
Please post feedback here..

Hi Pippin,
I'm not a current iPeng user (I don't even own an iDevice) but am
considering picking up an iPod Touch to use almost solely as a SB
replacement. The primary use of the iPod would be to sit in a dock on a
nightstand and act as a SB player.
Some questions about iPeng's player
I haven't updated to the latest version today so maybe this is already
resolved, but changes to the player name (from local player) don't
stick between LMS restarts. I'm on Windows 8. Anyone else seeing
this?

I'm afraid that's a feature - it resets the name to Local Player

No screen saver. iPeng will display whatever state you left it in,
there's a NowPlaying

True, a lot of tracks get still recognized (eg. some Einstürzende
Neubauten), but I'd assume there's a limit to what TEN can interpolate.
Could you please give 0.99 another try? It should improve/fix the encoding
issue.

This should be improved in 0.99. There are still cases where it might
fail, though.

I'm not seeing .99 in the plugins. In my case .98 still showing with no

Thanks for the response, pippin. That's very helpful as I plan my
approach. Sounds like using the IOS screensaver gets me close to what I
want except for the bit about the display itself turning off, but I
expect there's some way around that.
I mis-typed when I mentioned wanting the sleep
My server is a WD MyBookLive. I can install Squeezelite via the
third-party plugin but even after restarting LMS the Local Player will
not show up in the list of player names.
I stopped LMS running, opened a command line and entered the following

usermod -a -G audio
