Each track has data stored about it in the database - so my suggestion

If the track has image in id3 tags is anything stored in database or is

v1.5.7 is out with a bunch of fixes and improvements:
- fix downloading artwork from https sources in the scanner (probably
a Windows only issue)
- accept jpeg in addition to jpg file extension in all cases
- log an error when an image folder is not writable to LMS
Thanks
I’m struggling to find consistency here especially when I don’t know if
the scanner simply doesn’t like my chosen file name and the browser
image cache needs to be cleared every rescan so forget this.
Cache indeed can be a problem. If in doubt, wipe cache.db and
imgproxy.db before the scan...
So my suggestion for the scanner
artist.jpg
artist image in store
online lookup
If all 3 fail display album cover art from first album the artist is
listed in
Only if there is no cover art display Trumpeter
I took a note of that idea. No promise. But sounds like a plan.
