I had to install rust. That was a pain. I installed librespot on my
laptop and ran the commands for track gain and album gain and played the
last two tracks from Pink Floyd - The Wall.
The problem for Spotty will likely be that I'd have to know for each
track whether it should be using
How about doing the same string -> MD5 -> 60 bit integer trick that is
done in DBCache.pm to make the id an integer?
That's a fair comment. And actually where I had that idea about the
performance advantages. I'll have to think about this.

The poster's wish was to have a physical volume knob though, and that
does not turn back up.

Yep, I have a rPi3B+ running PiCorePlayer 4.0 and an older LMS, that I
haven't updated for a few years, as it's in a place with no internet and
I only use for playing my local music. It simply just works. One

I think BPA's point was you don't need to if you use a rotary encoder
the next alarm sets the volume it needs regardless

I see. I didn't think about an encoder, but just another volume knob. :)
Neat idea.

Alarms are always played at the set alarm volume level - so no effect if
the previous alarm the volume was turned down.

Hi - This is an issue with the underlying plugin setup. It is quite easy
to fix.
locate the file *install.xml* in the plugin folder. On windows this is

Make a backup copy of the SD card ... my guess is that you do not have
one already.
Make sure that you can restore it by restoring it to another SD card and
booting that RPi from it ...
Then you can do anything you want safe in the
