The original TRiode plugin is in the LM standard plugins becaUse there are still some users who use a patched version of it. If you are using my repo - it is best not to have the Triode BBCiPlayer installed. LMS version management should override it but sometimes it doesn't work. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

But I guess I'll stick with my ASIO driver, as I use the Qobuz plugin to regularly stream Hi-Res up to 24/192. One may also occasionally encounter MQA albums on Qobuz (apparently because those are the only versions of those albums available, which is sad); they can stream in 24/48 and be decoded in whatever form of Hi-Res is in that MQA track if your DAC is compatible. The location you are trying to manually install in is reserved for plugins installed via repository. That's why it disappears on restart. Look on the LMS information tab in the browser for other locations for plugins. Your weather station data pulls correctly on my LMS system. Ah I wasn't aware of that. Then I sorted by Author and saw under bpa that I already had the Extras plugin installed but not iplayer. Now I look further there's an iplayer by Triode when I was looking for the bpa one. To get mplayer to output headerless pcm (which has to be 44.1Khz 2 channel for LMS so resample may be necessary) the command is roughly as follows mplayer -really-quiet -af volume=0,resample=44100:0:1,channels=2 -ao pcm:nowaveheader:file=testoutput.pcm $FILE$ Problem is output needs to be fed into a pipe for LMS - so you need a support script to create a pipe - this is just about OK on linux - a lot messier on Windows. My system is always set to 24/192. The default WASAPI behaviour, shared mode, has not changed, so is limited to 16/44.1. You must add -a :1 to the command line to use a WASAPI device in exclusive mode which allows squeezelite to detect and use all sample rates that the device supports. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayHLS Plugin - plugin to play Apple HLS m3u8 stream
Cheers. Yes, I'm still trawling the web to see what might be causing ffmpeg to not play the streams (given they were working last year - but the underlying streams could not be implemented differently). LMS is on Windows 10. I tested using the following mplayer MPlayer Redxii-SVN-r38117-6.2.0 (i686) (C) 2000-2018 MPlayer Team Using FFmpeg N-92461-gd3621b2321 (2018-11-17 18:06:58 +0100) Compiled on 2018-11-17 20:04:15 EST (rev. 1) The command I used was: mplayer -really-quiet "http://aflliveradiohls348.ngcdn.telstra.com/afllive/aflradio_12/playlist.m3u8; This would play the audio straight away without any screen output. Not sure how you'd stream that through to LMS though. Just tried with ffmpeg V4.1.1 and same issue. I'll keep testing with ffmpeg. It needs changes the custom-convert.conf and it needs a few other files some of which are OS dependent. What OS are you using for LMS ? What version of mplayer ? It's been a few years since I needed to use mplayer in LMS and it needed a messy solution to overcome some mplayer quirks (e.g. output messages to stdout which get mixed into decoded audio, not dying when requested - leaving zombies) - they may be fixed in current version. If your OS is OSX - then it's going to be added problem. I can get around to it until later this evening. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yes, mplayer plays the streams. What would be the best way to call mplayer instead of ffmpeg? I assume I'd need to make changes to custom-convert.conf for the parameters, but not sure if I can just 'hard-code' call to player, rather than the [ffmpeg] call. kidhazy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42259 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayHLS Plugin - plugin to play Apple HLS m3u8 stream
The stream plays OK with mplayer 1.3.0 which is quite old (2016). Does it work with mplayer on your system ? If so then plugin can be altered to use mplayer instead of ffmpeg. VLC 3.04 doesn't work but quite new ffmpeg 3.4.4 - quite new so perhaps an option has not been included. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayHLS Plugin - plugin to play Apple HLS m3u8 stream
The playlist.m3u8 can be downloaded - then I can download the chunk list which I can see as Code: #EXTM3U #EXT-X-VERSION:3 #EXT-X-TARGETDURATION:5 #EXT-X-MEDIA-SEQUENCE:8232 #EXTINF:4.032, media-uehkmoil5_8232.aac #EXTINF:3.968, media-uehkmoil5_8233.aac #EXTINF:4.032, media-uehkmoil5_8234.aac This looks good for a live stream - 6 secs chunk - sequentially numbered. Also I can download the individual chunks. Stream does not play with VLC either. I think there is something in the MPEG4 encoding of the aac chunks that is not supported in ffmpeg or vlc. Later, I'll see if I can analyse the aac chunks I downloaded. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayHLS Plugin - plugin to play Apple HLS m3u8 stream
Yes, I agree I need to sort out the playing via ffmpeg outside of LMS first. The streams are definitely still playing (at the moment). I can drop http://aflliveradiohls348.ngcdn.telstra.com/afllive/aflradio_5/playlist.m3u8 into Safari on a Mac and it plays. (No default playing on Chrome - it just downloads the m3u8 file) I can see in the Safari developer mode it downloads the playlist.m3u8 then the http://aflliveradiohls348.ngcdn.telstra.com/afllive/aflradio_5/chunklist.m3u8 which then loads in the next stream. eg. http://aflliveradiohls348.ngcdn.telstra.com/afllive/aflradio_5/media-uehkmoil5_8112.aac I'll have to do a bit more research on why the streams have changed this year and ffmpeg can't handle them. (I've tried both without any > difference) > Proxied and direct only make sense when the player can play the stream directly - they have no effect when using something like ffmpeg with "$FILE$" as ffmpeg open the URL and not LMS or the player. Logos on LMS will be generated by the save LMS URL and not by the HLS stream - so logos are not indicative of any success. > > Edit: > I just manually ran the ffmpeg command (without the 'quiet' option) on > the LMS server: > "C:\PROGRA~2\SQUEEZ~1\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread\ffmpeg.exe" > -i > "http://aflliveradiohls348.ngcdn.telstra.com/afllive/aflradio_5/playlist.m3u8; > -af volume=0dB -f flac - > > and got > http://aflliveradiohls348.ngcdn.telstra.com/afllive/aflradio_5/playlist.m3u8: > Invalid data found when processing input > No point to test within LMS until you can get the ffmpeg command to work outside LMS. The above ffmpeg command outputs to stdout indicated by the dash after flac. This will cause problems on a Windows command line so if you get a bit of success, it won't be clear it if is working. Use the following as it saves output in to testoutput.flc. Then later check output by playing the files. "C:\PROGRA~2\SQUEEZ~1\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread\ffmpeg.exe" -i "http://aflliveradiohls348.ngcdn.telstra.com/afllive/aflradio_5/playlist.m3u8; -af volume=0dB -f flac testoutput.flc While getting errors, I would suggest try increasing ffmpeg loglevel from quieter to info or debug and see if you get more info. The HLS m3u8 looks "normal" but not complete. With HLS the m3u8 for a live stream is dynamic, it has to be read about every 6 sec by the player as it changes - adding 2 or 3 new URLs for next 6 secs chunk. I'm guessing the stream URL you are testing is dead, invalid or not broadcasting. Many broadcasters are adding parameters (i.e. the parameters are after a "?" and separated by "&") to URLs. These parameters are calculated by the browser (eg. a valid start time in epoch time) and so make it difficult to play an URL by simply cutting & pasting as URL will not be "valid" (i.e. you have to use a browser and watch the ads). Can you check the complete m3u8 URL that is actually used whenplaying within a browser ? with Chrome or Firefox where is a developer's console console whcih can be seleected to show network traffic. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] can't get controller to connect
You guys were so great in getting me connected to Qobuz, hope it's okay to ask this here. This hasn't happened in a long time, that I can't get the controller to connect at all. The reciever appears in the choose player screen, but when I select the ethernet (it's wired), the circle freezes and then the controller shuts off. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting power to receiver. Tried pressing the front of the receiver. I've tried rebooting my modem and router. Please help! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayHLS Plugin - plugin to play Apple HLS m3u8 stream
I used PlayHLS to successfully stream AFL Football broadcasts to my Squeezebox setups last year. This year the URLs have slightly changed, and now they're not playing. The URLs work when I use them in a Safari Browser on a MAC, it's just the stream doesn't start on the Squeezebox's. On the Squeezebox web interface I can see it retrieves the station logo in the Now Playing window, but the stream doesn't play. Example streams: http://aflliveradiohls348.ngcdn.telstra.com/afllive/aflradio_12/playlist.m3u8 http://aflliveradiohls348.ngcdn.telstra.com/afllive/aflradio_5/playlist.m3u8 I've testing PlayHLS using the sample BBC streams and it works eg. http://a.files.bbci.co.uk/media/live/manifesto/audio/simulcast/hls/nonuk/sbr_low/llnw/bbc_radio_fourfm.m3u8 http://hls1.addictradio.net/addictalternative_aac_hls/playlist.m3u8 Turning on debug for PlayHLS I can see PlayHLS is kicking in ffmpeg, but then it appears to get to the end of the stream. Any suggestions? I'm assuming the Audio Streaming setting for the player needs to be set to "Proxied" for PlayHLS to be able to convert via ffmpeg, or can the stream setting be left at Direct? (I've tried both without any difference) Thanks, Dean.
