The IR interface is
one-way (SBS, plugins, and applets can't determine how loud the amp
already is) and crude -- all you can send are Volume Up and Volume Down
commands (and some sort of Mute command -- serial/TCP allow discrete
Mute On and Mute Off, but I don't know about Denon's IR c
though I
haven't tested that. Myself, I just use it with a single amp that gets
an IP address only by virtue of software running on an HTPC connected
to its RS232 port.

ou can probably shut down SBS and edit
prefs/plugin/irblaster.prefs by hand (the _command, _remote, _count,
and _delay values).
Once you have things set up, you can probably switch back to the
official IR Blaster release.

Finally, it would be cool to have a 100% applet version of DenonSerial
so Touch would retain control over the amp even if using its internal
server or MySqueezebox.com. But I haven't been terribly motiva
that would let
you use a $10 USB-to-serial adapter so Touch itself could relay these
commands to the Denon serial port (instead of something like the GC-100
or Sena boxes), but I haven't gotten around to it.

Transporter, SrvrPowerControl even gives you the option of setting it
such that merely holding the Sleep button on the IR remote would shut
down your server -- though with power usage as low as the Sheevaplug,
I'm not sure why you'd want to. :-)
