Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
@slartibartfast: the apt-update and upgrade parts are "hidden" in the "odroid advanced options" addon. I did not add them to the normal functions yet, because they may break some other stuff due to library changes. @Man in a van: The C1 image also works for the C1+, but if you want to use the new functions and addon shields (display/hifi-shield) of the C1+ you have to do a kernel update with the odroid-utility script. I will release a special version for the C1+ with the corresponding addon to change display resolution, activate hifi-shield and more as soon as I have some time for it. @bobertuk: I did not test the SPDIF output of the USB-card hardkernel offers but it should work exactly the same way as other USB-soundcards (like logilink/creative with SPDIF output). Background info for Passthrough in Kodi: To enable the Kodi/XBMC passthrough (sending 5.1 Dolby sourround signal / DTS directly to your AVR) you have to adopt some settings on the desktop and in Kodi/XBMC settings. The problem with the hardkernel devices is, that they do not offer passthrough with HDMI and therefore you need the external soundcard to get 5.1 sound working (instead of normal stereo). What you probably want to do, is just sending your music (from stereo source) to the external soundcards SPDIF output. This is no problem: just change the soundcard setting of the Squeezelite-Player (advanced options on the audioplayer tab of the Max2Play-Webinterface) to your desired output. LMS (Squeezebox Server) is sending its music stream to the Squeezebox / Squeezelite Player and the player has to be configured to use the correct soundcard / audiointerface. 2 x Max2Play on ODROID U2/U3 with LMS, Squeezelite, Shairport, XBMC 1 x Squeezebox Receiver 1 x Denon 1713 AVR + Nubert 5.1 System iPeng Max2Play Webinterface and SD-Image: http://www.max2play.com/ Max2Play Shop: http://shop.max2play.com/ flysurfer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=61064 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
I read on the Odroid site that the USB-SPDIF peripheral is only useable through XBMC! It appears that there is a passthrough option in XMBC but does this mean audio can be pushed through to LMS? What I really want to know is if it's possible to use max2play and LMS to connect using SPDIF to my DAC (Lavry DA10) via optical or coax? The documentation (or more to the point - lack of) from Odroid and max2play is rather confusing on this subject. @flysurfer Your implementation looks promising, but it probably won't be quite as versatile, because using the Display probably rules out the Hifiberry Amp/Digi/DAC. Would be a great system though!!! One question: Is there any chance of implementing BubbleUPnP into Max2Play Image as a Plugin? It has pretty good support for streaming services, and might complement and/or replace LMS? Who knows... Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Hi, just for information: I am currently testing different displays to get a squeezebox touch functionality working with Max2Play. The goal is to have the touch functionality with the display and all the Max2Play addons together with the easiest installation and configuration (just 2 clicks in the webinterface). What I got so far: The first one is a RPi-Display B+ - 2.8 Touch-Display for Raspberry Pi B+ and 2 (ADS7846 Touchscreen). I built a Max2Play Addon to install the display drivers based on the latest Raspbian Kernel 4.x for Raspberry PI 2. Together with Jivelite this really works great. There is just one downside: if using the Headphone Jack instead of HDMI output for sound, you can not really expect to have the best audio quality. If you own the same display and a full Max2Play version you may try the display-installer Addon: http://shop.max2play.com/media/downloadable/beta/rpitouchdisplay.tar Some Pics of the touchscreen showing the Max2Play Squeezebox touch in action (with Squeezebox Server and Airplay running on the same device): 1866718668 If anyone is interested we could create a bundle with the case, the display and everything installed and configured. The next test scenario is the new ODROID C1+ together with the HiFi-DAC and the touchscreen from hardkernel. From the pictures, it looks like the DAC and the touchscreen might be connected at the same time. I will keep you updated on this test. @slackhead: I will link the latest Kodi version for the ODROID in our download section today - the U3 is still building it ;) @mkkyah: the warning for the free space of the filesystem is just a reminder that there is not much space left. You may see more details on bottom of the settings page in the webinterface. I will have a look at the kodi sound problem. I added some fixes for the XU4 from ODROID and Ubuntu 15.04 - maybe it conflicts with the older Ubuntu 14.04. @m4rky: a reboot often fixes problems :) +---+ |Filename: max2play-touch1.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=18668| +---+ 2 x Max2Play on ODROID U2/U3 with LMS, Squeezelite, Shairport, XBMC 1 x Squeezebox Receiver 1 x Denon 1713 AVR + Nubert 5.1 System iPeng Max2Play Webinterface and SD-Image: http://www.max2play.com/ Max2Play Shop: http://shop.max2play.com/ flysurfer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=61064 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Thought you all might like to know that I've been able to have both squeezelite and Kodi running simultaneously (although not playing media at same time) and using the same single USB DAC by adding '-C 20' to the squeezelite config options and setting Kodi's 'Keep Audio Device Alive' to OFF. These options release the audio output when not in use and free it for other applications. (Don't know what will happen if both are playing at same time, I guess I should try.) This may not work for everyone but works great here. No need to have Kodi shutdown before using squeezelite. I can have both Kodi and squeezelite auto start on boot with no issues (so far). I was previously doing this with OpenElec so thought it should be possible with Max2Play too. Obviously Max2Play has the huge advantage that I have LMS running on it - something that is very unlikely to ever happen with OE. On a side note - LMS runs really well on the Odroid U3 - a good bit faster then my Raspberry Pi 2 - scanning my 65000 track library took less than half the time (probably largely down to eMMC, but other factors may well be an influence). And Kodi seems to run a bit smoother. Stephan/Flysurfer - you've done great job getting this all working so well. I've purchased the premium support license! One small request:- I've updated Kodi to your latest release. When it starts up I get a warning about running Release Candidate 1. Any chance of a upgrade to final version? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
@mkkyah: OK - solved it thanks to your help! Problem with Kodi start was related to the equalizer configuration that gets activated when you check the use USB-Soundcard option. All you have to do is: update to latest beta, uncheck the checkbox of USB-Soundcard, save, check it again and save. Thanks a lot for your intense Beta-testing! Having a lot of features has the downside of sometimes not being able to test everything... @slackhead: Thanks for your reports! I'll have a look at the network settings to get fixed WiFi-IP and Nameserver settings also working. I tried to keep it as simple as possible but just tested with my router and LAN connection. The nfs-common package is indeed missing in the Odroid release... I'll add this to the next update. @pinkdot: squeezelite should come up within a minute after shutting down kodi/xbmc. There is a cronjob that checks for running squeezelite/shairport/kodi and if autostart is enabled. Make sure you really close kodi and that there is no running kodi process left. @slackhead: can you post the content of the Debug-Information on the Wifi/Lan page in the webinterface? I am not sure why it takes your lo interface at first place instead of eth0. Btw: Any support for Max2Play is highly appreciated! With the premium license you get some more addons, support and some features that are not included in the free Max2Play version (see our website for more info). @mkkyah: your logfile looks ok - at least it contains no errors. Hi mkkyah, I created a new version of Kodi (version 15, Isengard), that can be easily installed on the KODI-tab of the Max2Play Web Interface. Just copy and paste the link into the update input field: http://cdn.max2play.com/xbmc_15.0.91-1_armhf.deb Before you can do the update of Kodi please update Max2Play to the latest Beta version, as there are some changes needed for the installer. Otherwise there will be an error message each time you add a new share - even if the new one works (as you have noticed). @extremeaudio: you may run an update on the settings page to get the latest version of Max2Play. Make sure to set the soundcard settings on audioplayer tab to Default - BCM2835 and choose HDMI as default audio output. @Touister: to get USB-Audio DACs working, you may choose USB Soundcards (Northstar Essensio, Hiface and others) as soundcard in the Raspberry PI Settings Addon. Restart the NAS and perhaps the router, also the computer and the pi. Then on the LMS Settings page on the pi go to the Basic Settings page and click on the Browse tab and the Drive should appear at the bottom of the tree. When i have done this it sometimes takes a few restarts for the drive letter to appear. If this works you can then continue with your quest (thar be Dragons) to mount the Share in the correct manner (at your leisure). atb Ronnie Thanks Ronnie I will have a look around ... I answered your post on the Max2Play-forum as this is not really squeezebox specific. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
things are not going well I've managed to get two SD cards loaded with the Max2play Hifiberry image and when I plug one in the M2P UI comes up and I chose AMP+ and save, and then reboot and that's where is ends - the reboot causes everything to lock up and if I manually reboot (pull power) the pi will not boot to M2P I can see the pi ip in the router list but cannot connect using ssh or anything like that Happening with both cards I just tried to expand file system and it's done the same thing - it seems to be the reboot that's messing with the SD set up I'm going to re download the image and re burn to SD one more time - then maybe back to the old image for the pi Anyone got any thoughts?
