lms...worked like a dream. But i still cannot access the root files via
smb.

I have Squeezelite set to auto start on boot up but it doesn't start up
and it will not start when I try to start manually using the 'Start

Solved it. It was because I had not clicked on Save Plugin Config since
updating. Now the tab is Squeezebox Server rather than
Squeezeserver.

@Giza2020: Well - I am not sure what exactly the alsaequal software
equalizer is doing with different streams (espacially AAC in 48KHz as
tonyfox reported). But if you notice that something doesn't feel (hear)
right, you should change the soundoutput directly to the hardware (it's
