What are the exact tags you have? Go to track info, More, Tags (or
report what your tagging software says).

Oh - did you check on iTunes? On devices with iOS 10, do you know that
airplay audio devices are only visible on the control center (the one
you get by sliding up) if you slide left once? Otherwise, on the main
menu, only devices with video capabilities are shown

The level of debug is set in the plugin setting page and here you'll
find as well the path where logs are stored (one per player instance).
The server.log will also tell you probably why the connection fails
(probably an encryption problem). Re the perl installation, it's
probably linked with

not both. SPH is newer. I use official app

Thanks all. I know I keep saying this but the next version is almost
ready. I've been battling with the proxy service this week and migrated
to a different httpd which has taken a bit of time. I'm now testing on a
few different platforms in advance of writing some test scripts etc.

The plugin tries to find a 'standard' mDNS publisher but it none is
found it uses a built-in one so you should have a log just after the
avahi reference saying 'using built-in helper'. I can't see any reason
why you would not have this line
