Maybe even your router/modem (first) What you are describing is exactly what happens to me (LMS on picoreplayer) when recovering from a power failure: RP mp3 streams play fine with artwork and song info RP FLAC streams play fine but without "" (standard RP logo is displayed) RP Interactive streams will not play. The guess is that on recovery from a power failure, my picoreplayer boots faster than my modem and so pcp is looking for NTP "time" from the internet but it's not yet available. The RP plugin uses this for FLAC interactive, and for FLAC, but not for MP3. Another symptom is my touch screensaver is blank (it should be displayer time). I think he was wondering if it was a specific or general issue. also, for reference, if you want to use direct links, it's best to get them right from the RP website (bound to be most current, right?). I listen and use this plugin for lots of listening . However after having to do a new install of Max2play and LMS I can start the RP music playing but it stops after a single track . This seems to be on the FLAC streams . I have added a download of the server log but do not understand what is happening . Can anyone advise ? Your credentials seem to be invalid, as the RP authentication seems to be failing. But that shouldn't be the problem. There's a bunch of these errors: cannot open session for http://audio-geo.radioparadise.com/blocks/chan/0/4/5011773.flac 404 Not Found Basically RP tells us what URL to play, but then can't serve that file. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
Michael is far better at solving your issue than I, but I thought I would mention something simple to check. Whenever (the only time) I have had problems with RP Interactive it came as a result of a power failure where my picore server would come back up faster than my modem restablished an internet connection (that picore looks for on boot). It's funny because the regular stream would play, but the album art/song info would not. The result is "time" got messed up, and interactive stream uses this, where the regular stream does not (warning - over simplification). It was obvious that there was a power failure when I would come home, because the clock screen saver was black. No time -> no display. So, I knew there was a power failure while I was gone (they are frequent at my cabin). If you haven't, try rebooting your server. Not sure what your hardware is. I am remiss... I had asked Michael to consider the possibility of playing from one's own RP Favorite's, and to be able to add to Favorites by ranking new songs. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
The RP FLAC interactive streams have been rock solid for months for me, but this morning (8-10AM EST) I had a couple of rebuffering, play, rebuffering, play, rebuffering failed, then the stream would start again a few songs back. It doesn't bother me, and I am not asking for investigation, pourely observation. I wanted to post that it happened, and the circumstances. Two days ago, I opened my cabin for the summer (?), and we have pretty slow, unreliable DSL up here. At home, where the stream is rock solid, we have much faster, reliable cable ISP. If no one else is experiencing it, perhaps it is solely poor internet, or a wifi issue. Yesterday I was streaming a different 320kbps stream all day, and there wasn't a single problem. Both systems are PiCore 4, Touch's (actually home was just upgraged to 6, cabin will be in a few days...). Home player connection is ethernet, cabin is wifi. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
Were you able to get an update to the RP API from Bill? Oh, one of the main reason why I didn't really get started on this is the fact that I'd first have to build a library. While I had created an account years ago, I never interacted much with it. I'd have to listen to RP for a few days and rate every single track playing... If somebody wanted to give the auth etc. a try, I'd be happy to share code and information. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
Were you able to get an update to the RP API from Bill? I did indeed get some information. I am hoping at some point you can take a break from the great work being done on LMS 8, Qobuz, and online service music integration, (fabulous by the way,) and update the RP plugin to include this feature. Over the years I have accumulated over 3,000 favorites rated 7 or higher at this point, if only I could stream that mix to my Touch! I imagine you are quite busy, and stuck at home. Yeah, I mentioned this in some other thread: it's surprising how little spare time you have when you and your family is stuck at home :-(. I'd have a lot on my to do list for when I'm getting bored. But I'm not sure this is going to happen any time soon... And I actually have to do some work on the side :-D. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi Michael, Were you able to get an update to the RP API from Bill? I took a peak at the Bluesound website this morning, after reading Darko's recent posting on the updated Powernode 2i. Looking at the features, I noticed that Bluesound now supports Radio Paradise user registration. If logged in, a user can give a thumbs up or thumbs down, like Pandora. You can also choose to play a mix from your own favorites. Some information about my setup: * The LMS is running inside a Docker container. yes, thank you, but are the url's affected by an update to the plugin? If you look at them you'll see that they're super simple: radioparadise://4.flac As long as RP doesn't change their channel and stream quality parameters this will not change. I have been out of touch on this thread, exciting news! I'll try them out today... In trying to insure that my plugin was the latest, I had a weird experience that leads me to this question/concern - If you "favorite" the stream from "apps", is that a pointer to the app, or just a static link to a url? Here's why I ask. I have "favorites"->"eclectic" or "rock", etc that I'll have multiple similar favorite streams in. If I am not listening to my music, I am listening through "favorites", so I might favorite these flac streams like: Favorites-> \Eclectic-> \\RP-Main (regular) \\RP-Main (interactive) \\similar stations \Rock-> \\RP-Rock (regular) \\RP- Rock (interactive) \\similar stations To create this, using the web interface I'll play the stream via "my apps", favorite (heart) it, then move it to the target folder as above My concern is, if I favorite, and the app is updated, do my favorites reflect the update, or are they a snapshot in time (i.e. might not reflect the benefits of the update)? Suddenly the interactive RP stream works on my Boom. It has never started before, now it does. So it means that there was smth in the previous versions that didn't go well with the Boom, but worked with SB Radio and Touch. This gives me hope that all FIP streams will also work in the future (like they did a couple of years ago). Fair enough. What about allowing clients to specify "want_links:1" or something similar? This could be standardised, allowing other control points to also handle links. I was wondering about some kind of capability check: a controller could tell LMS about its capabilities in some way when it connects. We have something like that for players already, which allows players to tell the server eg. what file formats it can read. Is there some flag I need to pass to the 'trackinfo' command to see this in the list? It's currently only available in the web UI where the UI is rendered server side. Material is technically more like the controllers. I haven't figured out how to do this for the Controllers yet, as Slim::Control::XMLBrowser doesn't handle the "weblink" item. I'm tempted to add this, but as it's very client specific, I've always hesitated. Eg. I'd need to maintain a list of compatible clients in LMS. Not all controllers can display HTML, in particular not LMS "native" clients like Squeezeplay and SP based hardware. I've implemented workarounds in the past. I'll have to look into how I did this in other of my plugins... It seems I always introduced another menu level. Which is ugly for a single link. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'll look into this. Thanks! Yeah, sorry I could've been clearer! It was the appearance of these items in this list that I found really odd... Play 'Main Mix / FLAC Interactive', and navigate back to 'My App / Radio Paradise': Ah... the important detail is that this is only happening while playing (I was on a train when I verified last - and I obviously wasn't streaming then :-)). I'll look into this. Thanks! -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Well, its not a technical issue - just an odd UI choice. Mixing music source, options, and ID info for one track. Especially when this info does not update as the song changes, unless the controller refreshes. I really thik the ID does not belong here. As to the image HD option - how often are you likely to want to toggle? I must be missing something: I don't see those entries any where but in the track info menu. Where would you see them? -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

As to the image HD option - how often are you likely to want to toggle? Whilst I could see these being OK-ish on a hardware player, on software control points not so much. mherger wrote: > > > > The 'M' button that's next to each item in the play queue on the > default > > web-ui, or Material's 'More' menu entry. They are in the lsit of Mixes. This is where I think they should not be. - Click on the 'M' next to an item in the current play list, or on the 'More' entry of the popup menu for a track in Material. This shows the 'trackinfo'. Here the ID at least makes more sense, as the rest of the info is track related. Still not sure the HD image option makes sense here - as its (I assume) not track specific. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108189 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
