I am on Qobuz, but was curious and took a 3 months subscription to
Spotify just to test Spotty :-).
I must say I definitely prefer the sound quality of Qobuz (when is
Spotify going to launch their Hifi service?) but I do LOVE Spotty and

You mean the Squeezebox? It's the Receiver one, a small-ish black
plastic brick, connected to a gbit switch via ethernet.
Then I'm very much surprised the "optimize buffer" option has a positive

I had the same situation and that's what worked for me. The 2.5 update
didn't appear until I input the repository and, once done, the
Spotty playback on my SB3 keeps going silent for a few seconds, then
resuming for a few minutes, then another moment of silence. There's no
Rebuffering message or anything. Is there a good way to troubleshoot?
Playing Spotify on my laptop on the same network is flawless, and so is
playing MP3s
