Paul,
My Favourite is Snagit as you can caprute windows, screens, scrollable forms
as well as video if you need it.

The GIMP will do screen captures but I wouldn't necessarily call it
quick and easy to annotate unless you're already familiar with it. But
it's free. I've also used a program called ScreenShot from Broderbund
for years. You can set hot keys for different types of captures,
annotate, etc.

I have used the Windows native ScreenShot capture for years. There are 2
ways to capture a static screen. The first is to simply press the PrtScn
button to capture the entire display on a screen. The other is to press
Alt-PrtScn to capture the active window. The image can then be pasted

It put them in the Vault. Once you get the update and pull them back from
the vault, they run fine. That should be enough for some users to believe it

me that caught the problem first.

I'm a big fan of HardCopy Pro -
Been using it since '91 -
I like it cause it's:
1. SMALL
2. can save in many formats
3. can rework the resolution / colour depth with one click.
4. taking over my print-screen button on a daily basis !

Talk to them. I never dealt with an agency where they did not check with me
before presenting me to a client. That precluded this type of thing. They
probably have some hotshot at their office that saw you were not fully occupied
and assumed you wanted to be.
I wouldn't be too hostile, but

The best approach for lists etc is a timed capture, but I've only seen
that on Ubuntu.

Does anyone know if there is a possible bulletin/info from AVG

Screenshot v7 deluxe does timed captures. (The current version is 8.)
Not that I've tried it... So I just did and it worked reasonably well
except that when I chose to capture the mouse pointer, it seemed to pick
up the pointer state at the time I started the timed capture and did not
