Man, is Westerville a tech spot, or what? I have purchased several ROM
emulators from these guys http://www.gei.com/index.htm in your area.
As for Ivan's list, it's #3 for me.

The best way to get traffic up is to ask why it is down! ;o)

Abd ul-Rahman,
since you mention the Yahoo archive, what is with it recently? Last
week I went to check for a message that I had deleted and the archive was
only current to Oct 18th. Is it maintained manually by someone or is it
automatic? If automatic why was it so far behind (2 weeks?)?

I'm still here and very busy in recent days. My company has decided to stay with
Protel 99SE and not switch yet to DXP.

Ivan,
I have dropped off so much in the past Month I'm actually thinking of
changing career fields. Might even sell off my seat of DXP that I just
bought. Seems no one want to design or build anything new. Not three years
ago I had to turn work away.

Yeah, message traffic has been slow for me too.
Could be attributable to a lot of things, but mass migration to DXP is
probably not one of them.

Hi Steve,
yes the protel P&P file is usable. We use spreadsheet metric format, so it's easier to
edit the file in Excel. Our origin is set onto one of the fiducial marks. The way you
set the origin is defined by your P&P machine and the way you panellise the board.

I just got a call from a client who is having issues with an assembly house

this board in the past, but I can't find the thread in the archives. Are
there IPC standards for the pick & place file? Is the Protel-generated
You forget, they are now called "Sanitation Engineers".

It's surprising. Their job is easier to plan, has a better human interface,
mass storage is reliable, and so on...

Hi Dave,
if you ever renamed layers in the layer stack manager you get these strange
results. It is a bug I reported some months ago.
If you remember how to rename them to their original names, that might
help. If not, no chance (to my knowledge). Maybe a copy of layer by layer

I've had a simular problem last year.
In my case the reason was a change in the layer-stackup.
I've moved midlayer-5 between midlayer-1 und midlayer-2.
The midlayer order was then 1, 5, 2, 3, 4.
Some times later i've renamed the layers in the layer-stackup-manager in ascending
