stupid looking tracks.
I use 8 mil lines and spaces with 30 mil vias with 15 mil holes in vias.
High density surface mount 4 layer boards. Usually on 6 layer designs 2 or
more layers are just ground planes anyway. P99SE SP5 on Win 98SE no crashes
for 1 year.

Good point.
I once had trouble

the back?
Or alternately does anyone know of a source for PCB material that is around
.050 thick instead of .062. (Two sided board)
I would use the PC mount version of the DB-25, but it doesn't fit in the
little plastic std housing.
Thanks for any help you can give.

PLCC sockets for larger parts just
inherently a bad idea?
This socket uses the same footprint as the PLCC part, so we can change to
direct soldering the part in place if this is needed.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Dennis,
>>does pushing down fix the problems?<<
Actually, the unit will become flaky, memory gets corrupted and the unit
sometimes self-resets due to corrupted memory. When I press on the part in
the socket, it often makes the problem happen just as I am pressing down on
the part. But when I rem

No, the contacts are tin-plated and the leads on the chip are tin plated.
Thanks for your thoughts.

to remove the border and they did, but I can't seem to figure out how to
remove the border in Camtastic to avoid this in the future.
Anybody know how to do this?
Thanks,
