Hi everyone,
well, the subject says it all. has anyone had any luck accessing
Superior Drummer, Omnisphere or any of the slate plugins, particularly
those in VMR with VO in PT? I think I saw something a while ago saying
that there is some access to Superior Drummer. Which version is that

Kevin, does the browser speak? I bought an orchestra which uses
contact 5 but the browser containing the various articulations doesn't
speak. Is there any other way of knowing what instruments you're
loading?

Hi everyone, I've got an upgrade question.
I bought version 11 about a year ago. I've not installed version 12
yet. When I bought version 11, I got just over a year's support
contract entitling me to any upgrades in the time period.
The new subscription model came in at version 12. So my questio

Agreed, I only mentioned Garageband because of the amount of free
content that comes with it. If you've got Acid loops, or even if you
haven't, PT does have time compression/expansion capabilities.

Hi Andy, Pro Tools is great and very accessible, I've been using it
since version 8.4. So, please don't see this as a criticism of the
product. But, have you considered Garageband? I only mention this
because, it's free and it comes with heaps of loops in different
styles. These loops can be played
Chris, my advice would be to stick with one daw and learn it well
enough to fly around it. Otherwise you'll end up like me, dabbling in
different daws and not getting really fluent with any one of them.
I'm now a logic guy but have been on this list and have been using

I can confirm that EZ Drummer 2 is completely inaccessible on the Mac
with VoiceOver. So, I have this question as well, In Pro Tools, what
is the accessible Recommendation for drum plugs that let you do more
than just use sound presets. For example browse and select drum

Ok, cards on the table, In my opinion Pro Tools is so far ahead in the
accessibility stakes, it's not even funny. So, why have I switched to
Logic from PT?
Truth be known , I like them both, I think Logic's workflow is cool,
and just fits my style better like for example being able to work with

I have the VBC, they are beautifully accessible. I think this may be
because they can be used stand-alone instead of having to be used in a

Hi Tim,
I totally agree with Slau, If you're new to Pro Tools, you should
stick to the plugins that come with Pro Tools.
I have the Waves Renaissance Max bundle and, with Pro Tools 11, they
are accessible. I Don't think that's the case though If you're using
version 10, as I don't think AAX plugi

Hi, have you got a separate numbed? have you tried disconnecting and
reconnecting it? This also sounds to me as if it could be a numlock
problem, have you tried pressing numlock on the pad? you normally need
this set to off to make the pad work.
That's the only thing I can suggest at the moment.
Well, I've just got Pro Tools 11 yesterday and I'm running Yosemite,
but at first glance, it appears to be. Maybe others can be a bit more
specific.
What I'm finding though is that, if you play the song and stop it,
Ican't seem to then arrow through the notes from where the song has

Sadly not,The last version that it worked with was Snow Leopard.this is
because there are no 64-bit drivers for the unit.

Well, that's not quite true. Logic Pro X doesn't seem to let you add
effects to tracks accessibly, or indeed change effect parameters. -
unless I'm missing something. So, at the moment, it's Tools all the
way. I'm not expecting this to change with the initial version of

Hey, is it me or do the counter displays not read in PT10? Is there
any way of knowing what bar I'm currently on?
So, if they are broken, what's the best way of creating a double

Hi Everyone,
Well, I upgraded from PT 8 to PT10 so I could use my Focusrite
interface. So, are there any decent accessible Eqs and compressors in
10? What are you all using for bread and butter plugs? I'm using 10.5,
should I be using a different version?

You received this message because you
another vote for Focusrite here. I bought the Saffire Pro 14. Awesome
pres MIDI SPDIF. It really comes down to how many tracks you need to
record simultaneously. Of course, none of the above are control
surfaces like the Project mix so if you want something like that
you'll need to look elsewhere.
Hey Chris, It's difficult to advise you not having your gear and I'm
somewhere along the same journey as you but +30db of gain on your
mike?? that sounds like it would clip a whole bunch to me, so turn
that down and try again. Just a thought.

Hi Juan,
How are you going to make the recordings? What I mean is, what are you
going to control with your control serface?
If you already have a Mac, you could get Pro Tools and a control
serface for well under $1200.
If you did that, I'm fairly sure you can control the EQ that you get
inside P

Hi Listers,
Well, I bought a mac about a year ago because I wanted to start using Pro
Tools, but when the accessible version finally arrived, I found getting around
a session so clunky and horrible to use, I bought Logic and have been using
that, I have a little sight so I was stumbling along w
