finding beta testers is currently a priority is might be worth a note on
the QGIS web page that this is available for Mac users.
Big thank you for the guys who did the work to get the MacPorts version working
so well!

Thanks for your comments. I think I’ll follow the MacPorts root and probably
head to their forums. But I’m open to contact from here - please don’t

Doesn’t seem to help if I add these as environment variables; as if make is
ignoring or overriding the environment.

That looks interesting David. Thanks.
How much uninstall on Homebrew is recommended before switching to this
MacPorts? The work looks quite active on MacPorts but I don’t see much on
potential Homebrew or Anaconda conflicts.

Hello,
Is it possible to be involved in OS X testing of the QGIS 3 beta? There are
parts of the web site that suggest it is, but I have not been able to find a
web age for up to date downloads.

A related route I’ve been looking at is working in 3D in a Postgresql/PostGIS
system and generating the views to support what QGIS needs to work with. This
is part of a bigger geological data management system we are building.

Please let me know if this makes enough sense or you need other suggestions.
Or if you are interested in geological plugging for QGIS as well!

Fairly sure I used to convert those in Manifold. But that's on one of those old
Windows machines at the office. Don't have any at home - but if your stuck on
Monday I have an interest in geological symbols as well and could convert them.

Since we have been talking about geological symbol fonts…
What is the level of interest in other geological tools? I would very much
like to see the momentum in QGIS carry on into building tools in QGIS and/or
PostGIS to support drilling, geochemistry and geophysics field surveys.
For
I personally like the geographic names and never thought about them as
potentially problematic. They seem to fit the context and I always like to see
the interesting maps that go with each.
Perhaps a randomizing system like they do with hurricanes would help?

Any suggestions on how to "cloudify" PostGIS? I would like to use it as well
and shared across more than the local network.

the PostGIS idea and I’m moving to that more as well, but I’m not sure
how much more that solves regarding sharing versus the simpler method explained
above.

I'm new to QGIS (on Mac OS X) but have been enjoying learning and using it.
One of the methods I'm trying to track down on QGIS is transferring polygon
attributes to adjacent lines. The context is geological and the polygons
represent rock units and their associated properties. The lines
