Hi Torsten
That sentence is right, both for filter or for ruled based styling. Perhaps

Hello,
I found a workaround to my problem : the computation I am performing is
done on a layer open from a network file.
So I copied the files on my local computer disk and the
the absolute distance between points in a new field, with the
two previous.

points.

In Google Earth, you must save your place as kml file.
In QGIS you can open directly this KML. If you want edit it, then save this
KML file as a new SHP file.

Hi!J
On QGIS 2.4, I have some kind of trouble exporting to KML from SHP files
is not calculated in units of the layer,
but in units of the project. Be sure that on the fly reprojection is
disabled. If doesn't, it causes a wrong result (an issue of QGIS that is
not solved yet).
Good luck

Hi list:
I have an issue with freehand editing plugin.
Using it, I can freehand digitize a new polygon and when i finish it, pops
up an attribute windows that it's intended to fill with respective values,
but it has all fields gray color and accept button deactivated, just
cancel is activated.
was able to get around it by
suppressing the pop-up window (settingsoptionsdigitizing and check
the box to suppress the pop-up attribute window).
Hope that helps,
Andrew
